Connecting Work and Sacred Values

Sacred Conversations is a resource for small groups who want to consider how their work connects with their sacred values. It came out of a Lumunos research project called Evocative Conversations. To evoke is to draw out another’s voice or calling. This resource will help people bridge the gap between their work in the world and their spiritual lives.

Our work takes many forms depending on the season of life we are in: for some it means the job we get paid to do Monday-Friday; others are stay at home parents or retired volunteers. Our work in the world represents those places that claim our time and energy during the week. Lumunos believes that we need spiritual support to help equip us for that work. We believe that when we connect our sacred values with our work, many good things happen: life is more whole and meaningful, we become more resilient, and the world looks like a more loving and compassionate place.
