About The Event

You will learn about the art of blessing, the art of seeing others deeply and being deeply seen, and the “dance” of gerotranscendance as spiritual practices to enlighten and fill your days with joy.

We will begin with introductions and meditation. We will discuss the many views of the meaning of "soul" and evaluate the shadow aspects of this work. From the philosophies and writings of Jung, Catherine Meeks, Mirabai Starr, Richard Rohr and James Finley, we will also illuminate where the Divine is encountered.

The below agenda to follow:

Shedding New Light on Aging is Soul Work

Views on Aging: Small Groups

Aging Artfully with Love & Compassion: Small Groups

We will also  refer to David Brooks, How to Know A Person: The Art of Seeing Others Deeply and Being Deeply Seen—Illuminators vs. Diminishers, Pierre Pradervand in The Gentle Art of Blessing, and  Joan Erickson, The Life Cycle Completed: Erik Erikson on the Ninth Stage of Development.

We will close with a meditation.

We look forward to shedding light on aging, as part of our commitment to Illuminating Change! This session will be co-facilitated by Lumunos team member, Heather Bauer.
