FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

IS LUMUNOS A RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION?

Lumunos is not a religious organization, but In the spirit of our founder Sam Shoemaker, we do offer people space, time, and tools to reflect on their spiritual journey. Our events and resources may incorporate elements of different religious traditions, and we welcome people of all faith backgrounds and those who do not consider themselves religious at all.

WHAT DOES LUMUNOS DO?

Lumunos helps people deepen their relationships, find and pursue meaningful activities in the world (one's "calling"), and grow their spiritual life. We do this through retreats, workplace programs, facilitation, newsletters (both in-person and online), and other resources.

HOW CAN I BECOME INVOLVED?

Lumunos has a lot to offer. To get started, you can check out our monthly E-News. The E-News features short original essays and provides updates on our various offerings. You can check out our past newsletters. To find out more about attending a Lumunos retreat or video conference gathering, click on our Events page.

“Spirituality is recognizing and celebrating that we are all inextricably connected to each other by a power greater than all of us, and that our connection to that power and to one another is grounded in love and compassion. Practicing spirituality brings a sense of perspective, meaning, and purpose to our lives.”
—Brene Brown, The Gifts of Imperfection
