Exploring a Spiritual Life

The Quaker Thomas Kelly reminds us that life is meant to be lived from what he calls a "divine Center." Anyone who wants to can live in this way, but it is hard in today's world. We get distracted by the clutter and noise around us and within us. Spiritual practices are ways to help us reconnect with this divine Center. Spiritual Practices on Interstate 89
Exit 11 off of I-89 is where my new spiritual practice begins. Driving home from work, I have begun to use the exit ramp in my town as a prompt to turn off the radio and pray.  I think about my family, wondering how I will find them, and ask God to help me be of some use.

Intimate Connections

It seems to me that a “spiritual practice” is any dreaming, doing or being into which we have dared to read the sacred (the operative word being “dared”).
