Light For Your Journey

                                                  What is it about?

Light For Your Journey 1 & 2 are 4 hour retreats about call that are designed for busy people who want a spiritual retreat experience without going away for a weekend. They can be planned for an evening, a Saturday, or a Sunday and fit in with our busy lives. The retreat is a “pause” that refreshes and leads to clarity about priorities and direction in all areas of life. Light For Your Journey 1 & 2 can be done in succession or as standalone retreats.

In Light for Your Journey 1, participants as individuals and in small groups are led through illuminating content interspersed with insightful exercises such as:

• An introduction to whole life call through a Life Trajectory Exercise that looks at what are the questions and tensions in my life now; and
• A Crossroads Exercise to gain clarity about: What is my call today?

Light for Your Journey 2 involves interaction with the Call Spiral©, a tool designed to help people better listen for a deeper sense of call in their lives towards a truer sense of self. Retreat participants will be taken through the call spiral.

Participants are encouraged to use the Call Spiral© after the retreat to help them spend their time and energy on the things that matter most. 

                                           What will it do for me? 
Participants will experience:

1) Increased clarity around their own call within their relationships, career, school, community, and in the world;
2) Support from others around their call;
3) Deeper connection to however one might define their understanding of the divine; and
4) Sense of belonging to others in their community.

Above and beyond these goals, lies a bigger “why.” Lumunos believes that when people are living out of a sense of call, love and justice for all becomes more present on earth. School, parenting, career, and social justice are done better, longer, and more faithfully when done out of a sense of call.

                                             Who should participate?

The retreats can be designed around the specific needs of your audience be it young people, mixed ages, people in discernment about something, people in job transition or getting ready to retire. Lumunos has been leading retreats for 70 years and is comfortable working in pluralistic settings. The essence of what we do has always been helping people listen for call and helping them create the kind of small groups and relationships that will support them in the living of that call.

The Light for Your Journey Retreats are usually done in partnership with a local organization such as a church, campus ministry, or non-profit group.

Costs:
Lumunos charges $29 per participant plus travel expenses. The sponsoring organization can cover this charge in full, subsidize it, or have each person pay the $29. Lumunos provides pre-retreat preparation assistance, program facilitation and handouts. Your organization handles registration and provides space and food. Lumunos is happy to discuss retreat costs and look for creative solutions to make the retreat happen if cost is an issue.
